Jason T. Arnold serves as Director of Crypto for VentureDNA, bringing over 7 years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry and recognized as a passionate, visionary leader committed to driving impactful and innovative solutions for the decentralized web.
Prior to VentureDNA, Jason began his career as a Patent Agent for Goodwin Procter, patenting artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies. He then joined Terraform Labs (TFL), where he first worked on Anchor Protocol, dramatically increasing its Total Value Locked (TVL) from $4 billion to over $20 billion, making it the largest across all chains at the time. He then transitioned to Head of Grants, overseeing the deployment of TFL's substantial $4 billion+ treasury and that of the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG), TFL’s non-profit arm. His influence expanded further in the pivotal role of Ecosystem Strategy, Growth, and Partnerships, where he strategically sourced and allocated capital to foster effective ecosystem growth and adoption. His efforts led to the recruitment and oversight of over 100 new projects building on Terra and successfully onboarded numerous enterprise-level institutions for Terra integration and the adoption of the UST stablecoin. Under his strategic guidance, Terra's market cap surged to over $70 billion. He also played a key role in LFG's strategic partnerships, including a $40 million sponsorship with the MLB Washington Nationals and a $200 million Treasury Swap with the Avalanche Foundation.
Shortly thereafter, Jason joined NEAR as Head of Ecosystem for NEAR US, leading NEAR's expansion into the U.S. market and forging partnerships to boost developer and institutional adoption. He has also served as a trusted advisor to numerous other protocols, including Sei as Head of Ecosystem Success and THORChain as Head of Ecosystem.
As Head of Ecosystem at THORChain, Jason has been at the forefront of negotiating numerous acquisitions, guiding the development of THORChain’s newly launched App Layer, and raising significant capital for their ecosystem development fund. He was also pivotal in incorporating THORChain’s SPV for an upcoming NASDAQ listing.
